Kura ya wana wa Yusufu ilianza kutoka mto wa Yordani hapo Yeriko, hapo penye maji ya Yeriko upande wa mashariki, maana, ni hiyo nyika, kukwea kutoka Yeriko kati ya hiyo nchi ya vilima mpaka Betheli; Yoshua 16:1

 The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Bethel;

kisha ikatoka huko Betheli kwendelea Luzu, kisha ikaendelea hata kuufikilia mpaka wa Waarki mpaka Atarothi; Yoshua 16:2

 and it went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;

kisha ikatelemkia upande wa magharibi hata kuufikilia mpaka wa Wayafleti, hata mpaka wa Beth-horoni ya chini, hata kufikilia Gezeri; na matokeo yake yalikuwa hapo baharini. Yoshua 16:3

 and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, even to Gezer; and the goings out of it were at the sea.

Na wana wa Yusufu, Manase na Efraimu, walitwaa urithi wao. Yoshua 16:4

 The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Na mpaka wa wana wa Efraimu kwa kuandama jamaa zao ulikuwa hivi; mpaka na urithi wao upande wa mashariki ulikuwa ni Ataroth-adari, hata Beth-horoni wa juu; Yoshua 16:5

 The border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was [thus]: the border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper;

kisha mpaka ukatokea kwendelea upande wa magharibi huko Mikmeta upande wa kaskazini; kisha mpaka ukazunguka kwendea upande wa mashariki hata Taanath-shilo, kisha ukaendelea upande wa mashariki wa Yanoa; Yoshua 16:6

 and the border went out westward at Michmethath on the north; and the border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah;

kisha ulitelemka kutoka Yanoa hata Atarothi, na Naara, kisha ukafikilia Yeriko, na kutokea hapo penye mto wa Yordani. Yoshua 16:7

 and it went down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.

Kutoka hapo Tapua mpaka ukaendelea upande wa magharibi hata kijito cha Kana; na matokeo yake yalikuwa baharini. Huo ndio urithi wa hao wana wa Efraimu kwa kuandama jamaa zao; Yoshua 16:8

 From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and the goings out of it were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;

pamoja na ile miji iliyotengwa kwa ajili ya wana wa Efraimu katikati ya urithi wa hao wana wa Manase, miji yote pamoja na vijiji vyake. Yoshua 16:9

 together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

Nao hawakuwatoa Wakanaani waliokuwa Wakikaa Gezeri; lakini hao Wakanaani waliketi kati ya Efraimu, hata hivi leo, wakawa watumishi wa kufanya kazi za shokoa. Yoshua 16:10

 They didn't drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and are become servants to do forced labor.
