Bwana akanena na Musa, na kumwambia,
Then the LORD said to Moses,

Siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa kwanza utaisimamisha hiyo maskani ya hema ya kukutania.
“On the first day of the first month you are to set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.

Nawe utatia ndani yake sanduku la ushuhuda, nawe utalisitiri hilo sanduku kwa pazia.
Put the ark of the Testimony in it and screen off the ark with the veil.

Nawe utaleta meza na kuitia ndani, na kuviweka sawasawa vile vitu juu yake; kisha utakileta ndani kile kinara cha taa, na kuziwasha taa zake.
Then bring in the table and set out its arrangement; bring in the lampstand as well, and set up its lamps.

Kisha utaisimamisha madhabahu ya dhahabu kwa kufukizia uvumba mbele ya sanduku la ushuhuda, na kulitia pazia mlangoni mwa hiyo maskani.
Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and hang the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

Kisha utaweka madhabahu ya kuteketeza sadaka mbele ya mlango wa maskani ya hema ya kukutania.
Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.

Kisha utaliweka birika kati ya hema ya kukutania na hiyo madhabahu, nawe utatia maji ndani yake.
And place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.

Kisha utausimamisha ukuta wa ua kuuzunguka pande zote, na kuitundika sitara ya lango la ua.
Set up the surrounding courtyard and hang the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard.

Kisha utayatwaa mafuta ya kutiwa, na kuitia mafuta hiyo maskani, na kila kitu kilicho ndani yake, na kuiweka iwe takatifu, na vyombo vyake vyote; nayo itakuwa takatifu.
Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it along with all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.

Kisha utaitia mafuta madhabahu ya kuteketeza sadaka, na vyombo vyake vyote; na kuiweka takatifu madhabahu; na hiyo madhabahu itakuwa takatifu sana.
Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar, and it shall be most holy.

Kisha utalitia mafuta birika na tako lake, na kuliweka liwe takatifu.
Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them.

Kisha utamleta Haruni na wanawe hapo mlangoni pa hema ya kukutania, nawe utawaosha kwa maji.
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.

Kisha utamvika Haruni mavazi matakatifu; nawe utamtia mafuta, na kumweka awe mtakatifu, ili apate kunitumikia katika kazi ya ukuhani.
And you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
14
Kisha utawaleta wanawe, na kuwavika kanzu zao;
Bring his sons forward and clothe them with tunics.
15
nawe utawatia mafuta kama ulivyomtia mafuta baba yao, ili wanitumikie katika kazi ya ukuhani; na huko kutiwa mafuta kwao kutakuwa ni kwa ukuhani wa milele katika vizazi vyao vyote.
Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their anointing will qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”

Musa akafanya hayo yote; kama yote Bwana aliyoagiza ndivyo alivyofanya.
Moses did everything just as the LORD had commanded him.
17
Hata mwezi wa kwanza wa mwaka wa pili, siku ya kwanza ya mwezi ile maskani ilisimamishwa.
So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.
18
Musa akaisimamisha maskani, akayaweka matako yake, akazisimamisha mbao zake akayatia mataruma yake, akazisimamisha nguzo zake.
When Moses set up the tabernacle, he laid its bases, positioned its frames, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts.

Akaitanda hema juu ya maskani, akakitia kifuniko cha hema juu yake; kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, just as the LORD had commanded him.
20
Akautwaa ule ushuhuda, akautia ndani ya sanduku, akaiweka miti ya kuchukulia juu ya sanduku, akakiweka kiti cha rehema juu ya sanduku;
Moses took the Testimony and placed it in the ark, attaching the poles to the ark; and he set the mercy seat atop the ark.

kisha akalileta sanduku akalitia ndani ya maskani, naye akalitundika pazia la sitara, akalisitiri sanduku la ushuhuda; kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the veil for the screen, and shielded off the ark of the Testimony, just as the LORD had commanded him.

Akaitia meza ndani ya hema ya kukutania, upande wa maskani ulioelekea kaskazini, nje ya pazia.
Moses placed the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.
23
Akaipanga ile mikate juu yake mbele za Bwana; kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
He arranged the bread on it before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
24
Kisha akakitia kinara cha taa ndani ya hema ya kukutania, kuikabili ile meza, upande wa maskani ulioelekea kusini.
He also placed the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle
25
Kisha akaziwasha taa zake mbele za Bwana, kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
and set up the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
26
Akaitia madhabahu ya dhahabu ndani ya hema ya kukutania mbele ya pazia.
Moses placed the gold altar in the Tent of Meeting, in front of the veil,
27
Akafukiza juu yake uvumba wa manukato kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded him.
28
Akalitia pazia la mlango wa maskani.
Then he put up the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
29
Akaiweka madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa mlangoni pa maskani ya kukutania, akatoa sadaka ya kuteketezwa juu yake, na sadaka ya unga; kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
He placed the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, just as the LORD had commanded him.

Akaliweka birika kati ya hema ya kukutania na madhabahu, akatia maji ndani yake ya kuoshea.
He placed the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing;
31
Musa na Haruni, na wanawe wakanawa mikono yao na miguu yao ndani yake;
and from it Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet.
32
hapo walipoingia hema ya kukutania, na hapo walipoikaribia madhabahu walinawa kama Bwana alivyomwamuru Musa.
They washed whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
33
Akausimamisha ukuta wa ua kuizunguka maskani na madhabahu, akalitundika pazia la mlango wa ule ua. Basi Musa akaimaliza hiyo kazi.
And Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and the altar, and he hung the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard. So Moses finished the work.

Ndipo lile wingu likaifunikiza hema ya kukutania, na huo utukufu wa Bwana ukaijaza maskani.
Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35
Wala Musa hakuweza kuliingia hema la kukutania, kwa sababu lile wingu lilikaa juu yake, na huo utukufu wa Bwana ukaijaza maskani.
Moses was unable to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36
Na hapo lile wingu lilipoinuliwa kutoka juu ya maskani, wana wa Israeli wakaenda mbele katika safari zao zote,
Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out through all the stages of their journey.
37
bali kama lile wingu halikuinuliwa, wakati ule hawakusafiri hata siku ile lilipoinuliwa tena.
If the cloud was not lifted, they would not set out until the day it was taken up.
38
Kwa maana lile wingu la Bwana lilikuwa juu ya maskani wakati wa mchana, na mlikuwa na moto ndani yake wakati wa usiku, mbele ya macho ya nyumba ya Israeli katika safari zao zote.
For the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel through all their journeys.
