Meaning & Inspiration
“Kristo Wa Neema Yote Imbisha Moyo Wangu” by Sounds of Afrika Music is a Swahili hymn-style prayer to Christ. The first verse addresses Him as Christ of all grace and asks Him to warm the singer’s heart, speaking of a breath of blessing that wakes great joy. The chorus asks to be taught to love Him and to be filled with joy and hope.
The second verse gives thanks to the Lord and asks for guidance all the way home. The third verse recalls that Jesus sought the singer who was far away and gave His blood so that grace could heal. That is close to Luke 19:10 and Ephesians 1:7 on redemption through His blood.
The bridge calls the singer a recipient of constant grace, and the outro asks to be kept from leaving the healer again. The song is a humble prayer for grace, love, and faithfulness.
