Meaning & Inspiration
“Worthy To Be Praised” centers on a single confession: God alone deserves worship. The titles “King of all the Earth,” “Lion and the Lamb,” and “Mighty Redeemer” gather royalty, sacrifice, and rescue into one portrait. Rather than developing a narrative, the song uses repetition to sustain a posture of adoration.
The image of the Lamb closely aligns with Revelation 5:12, where the slain Lamb is declared worthy of honor and praise. The call to lift hands and the repeated hallelujahs also fit a song built for corporate praise. References to God as the giver of every breath recall the psalmist’s call for everything that breathes to praise the Lord. The result is a direct and focused worship song that moves from descriptions of God’s character to an extended chorus of praise.
