Meaning & Inspiration
“Unaweza” praises Jesus as the one for whom no task is too difficult. Its central confession, “You are able,” is illustrated through the biblical picture of a potter reshaping a damaged vessel. The lyric does not deny that something can become marred; it emphasizes that damage need not be final in the potter’s hands. Restoration remains possible because authority and skill belong to the Lord.
The song directly recalls Jeremiah 18:1–6, where Jeremiah watches a potter remake a spoiled vessel as he sees fit. That scene becomes an image of God’s sovereign freedom to shape and restore. The chorus also closely matches Jeremiah 32:17, which declares that nothing is too hard for God. By joining these passages, the lyric moves from God’s unlimited ability to his work of renewal.
