About Angel Benard

Angel Benard is a Tanzanian gospel minister, worship leader, and recording artist. She was born on June 29, 1989, in Tanzania. Her introduction to music came early, as she began singing at the age of six at the Catholic Church of Tabata. She formally launched her gospel music journey at the Baraka River church in Dar es Salaam.

Before stepping out as a solo artist, Benard performed with several musical groups, including Messengers Band, Whispers Band, Glorious Celebration (GWT), and Pure Mission. In 2008 she released her debut album, Everywhere. Over the years she has continued to build her catalog with albums such as Nitakuabudu Milele, Hallelujah (2022), and Nikumbushe Wema Wako (2023). Her singles include “Siteketei,” “Nimeona,” “Utukumbuke,” and “Jehovah Sabaoth (Live)” (2024).

Benard’s contributions to gospel music earned her the Female Artist of the Decade award at the 2009 Maranatha Awards. In addition to music, she is also known for her work as an author and public speaker, further extending her ministry beyond the recording studio.
