Make A Way moves between words presented as divine assurance and a personal confession of trust. The opening lines echo the promise of hopeful plans in Jeremiah, then connect that hope with forgiveness, patience, and confidence that God can provide a path through difficulty. Later lines answer those assurances with repeated declarations that God will make a way, turning uncertainty into sustained prayer.
The song also draws on biblical descriptions of God as the great I Am, of Christ as the way and the truth and the life, and of stillness before God. Its language acknowledges darkness, shame, mistakes, and circumstances that cannot yet be understood. Against those pressures, the refrain chooses trust rather than visible proof.
