Lyrics
All of creation
Singing the song of all the stage
Echoing heaven
We join the angels as they sing
We join the angels and we sing
Holy, holy
Holy is the Lord our God
Worthy, worthy
Jesus Christ the saving one
Ooh oh praise His name
Forever and ever, amen
Ooh oh praise His name
Behold the Savior
Scars of redemption on His hands
Bow down before Him
Come let us exalt the great I am
Join in the song that never ends
Holy, holy
Holy is the Lord our God
Worthy, worthy
Jesus Christ the saving one
Ooh oh praise His name
Forever and ever, amen
Ooh oh praise His name
For from Him
And through Him
And to Him are all things
To Him be the honor
And power and glory
For from Him
And through Him
And to Him are all things
To Him be the honor
And power and glory
For from Him
And through Him
And to Him are all things
To Him be the honor
And power and glory
For from Him
And through Him
And to Him are all things
To Him be the honor
And power and glory
Holy, holy
Holy is the Lord our God
Worthy, worthy
Jesus Christ the saving one

Meaning & Inspiration
Forever and Ever Amen presents worship as a response to Jesus’ holiness, redemption, and everlasting reign. The opening image of creation and angels joining a single song expands the scene beyond an individual performance. Its repeated “Holy, holy” and “Worthy, worthy” declarations center the lyric on the character and saving work of Christ.
The lines “from Him and through Him and to Him” closely echo Romans 11:36, while the image of a song that never ends suggests the continuing praise pictured in Revelation. The later refrains name Jesus as the King of glory whose reign does not end. Through these images, the song moves from beholding the Savior to a collective declaration of honor, power, and glory. Its repeated amen answers each declaration with agreement and keeps the focus on enduring praise.
