Akawaambia wanafunzi wake, Makwazo hayana budi kuja, lakini ole wake mtu yule ambaye yaja kwa sababu yake!
Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come!

Ingemfaa zaidi mtu huyo jiwe la kusagia lifungwe shingoni mwake, akatupwe baharini, kuliko kumkosesha mmojawapo wa wadogo hawa.
It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Jilindeni; kama ndugu yako akikosa, mwonye; akitubu msamehe.
Watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

Na kama akikukosa mara saba katika siku moja, na kurudi kwako mara saba, akisema, Nimetubu, msamehe.
Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times returns to say, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

Mitume wakamwambia Bwana, Tuongezee imani.
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Bwana akasema, Kama mngekuwa na imani kiasi cha chembe ya haradali, mngeuambia mkuyu huu, Ng'oka, ukapandwe baharini, nao ungewatii.
And the Lord answered, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

Lakini, ni nani kwenu mwenye mtumwa alimaye au achungaye ng'ombe, atakayemwambia mara arudipo kutoka shambani, Njoo upesi, keti, ule chakula?
Which of you whose servant comes in from plowing or shepherding in the field will say to him, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?

Je! Hatamwambia, Nifanyie tayari chakula, nile; jifunge unitumikie, hata niishe kula na kunywa, ndipo nawe utakapokula na kunywa?
Instead, won’t he tell him, ‘Prepare my meal and dress yourself to serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you may eat and drink’?

Je! Atampa asante yule mtumwa, kwa sababu ameyafanya aliyoagizwa?
Does he thank the servant because he did what he was told?

Vivyo hivyo nanyi, mtakapokwisha kuyafanya yote mliyoagizwa, semeni, Sisi tu watumwa wasio na faida; tumefanya tu yaliyotupasa kufanya.
So you also, when you have done everything commanded of you, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”

Ikawa walipokuwa njiani kwenda Yerusalemu, alikuwa akipita katikati ya Samaria na Galilaya.
While Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.

Na alipoingia katika kijiji kimoja, alikutana na watu kumi wenye ukoma; wakasimama mbali,
As He entered one of the villages, He was met by ten lepers. They stood at a distance

wakapaza sauti wakisema, Ee Yesu, Bwana mkubwa, uturehemu!
and raised their voices, shouting, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

Alipowaona aliwaambia, Enendeni, mkajionyeshe kwa makuhani. Ikawa walipokuwa wakienda walitakasika.
When Jesus saw them, He said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they were on their way, they were cleansed.

Na mmoja wao alipoona kwamba amepona, alirudi, huku akimtukuza Mungu kwa sauti kuu;
When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back, praising God in a loud voice.

akaanguka kifudifudi miguuni pake, akamshukuru; naye alikuwa Msamaria.
He fell facedown at Jesus’ feet in thanksgiving to Him—and he was a Samaritan.

Yesu akajibu, akanena, Hawakutakaswa wote kumi? Wale kenda wa wapi?
“Were not all ten cleansed?” Jesus asked. “Where then are the other nine?

Je! Hawakuonekana waliorudi kumpa Mungu utukufu ila mgeni huyu?
Was no one found except this foreigner to return and give glory to God?”

Akamwambia, Inuka, enenda zako, imani yako imekuokoa.
Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well!”

Na alipoulizwa na Mafarisayo, Ufalme wa Mungu utakuja lini? Aliwajibu akawaambia, ufalme wa Mungu hauji kwa kuuchunguza;
When asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God will not come with observable signs.

wala hawatasema, Tazama, upo huku, au, kule, kwa maana, tazama, ufalme wa Mungu umo ndani yenu.
Nor will people say, ‘Look, here it is,’ or ‘There it is.’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Akawaambia wanafunzi, Siku zitakuja mtakapotamani kuona siku moja katika siku zake Mwana wa Adamu, msiione.
Then He said to the disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

Tena watawaambia, Tazama, kule! Tazama, huku! Msiondoke mahali mlipo, wala msiwafuate;
People will tell you, ‘Look, there He is!’ or ‘Look, here He is!’ Do not go out or chase after them.

kwa kuwa, kama vile umeme umulikavyo toka upande huu chini ya mbingu hata upande huu chini ya mbingu, ndivyo atakavyokuwa Mwana wa Adamu katika siku yake.
For just as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other, so will be the Son of Man in His day.

Lakini kwanza, hana budi kupata mateso mengi, na kukataliwa na kizazi hiki.
But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

Na kama ilivyokuwa siku za Nuhu, ndivyo itakavyokuwa katika siku zake Mwana wa Adamu.
Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man:

Walikuwa wakila na kunywa, walikuwa wakioa na kuolewa, hata siku ile Nuhu aliyoingia katika safina, gharika ikashuka ikawaangamiza wote.
People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

Na kadhalika, kama ilivyokuwa katika siku za Lutu, walikuwa wakila na kunywa, walikuwa wakinunua na kuuza, wakipanda na kujenga;
It was the same in the days of Lot: People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.

lakini siku ile Lutu aliyotoka Sodoma kulinyesha moto na kibiriti kutoka mbinguni vikawaangamiza wote.
But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

Hivyo ndivyo itakavyokuwa siku ile atakayofunuliwa Mwana wa Adamu.
It will be just like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31
Katika siku ile, aliye juu ya dari, na vyombo vyake vimo ndani ya nyumba, asishuke ili kuvitwaa; na kadhalika, aliye shambani asirejee nyuma.
On that day, let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve his possessions. Likewise, let no one in the field return for anything he has left behind.

Mtu ye yote atakaye kuiponya nafsi yake, ataiangamiza; na ye yote atakayeiangamiza ataiponya.
Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.

Nawaambia, usiku huo watu wawili watakuwa katika kitanda kimoja; mmoja atatwaliwa, mmoja ataachwa.
I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed: one will be taken and the other left.

Wanawake wawili watakuwa wakisaga pamoja; mmoja atatwaliwa, mmoja ataachwa.
Two women will be grinding grain together: one will be taken and the other left.”

Watu wawili watakuwa shambani, mmoja atatwaliwa, mmoja ataachwa.]

Wakajibu, wakamwuliza, Wapi, Bwana? Akawaambia, Ulipo mzoga, ndipo watakapokutanika tai.
“Where, Lord?” they asked. Jesus answered, “Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.”
