Lyrics
Verse 1
I've been through many hard trials,
I couldn't explain it, no, no, I didn't know why,
why I had to go through so much pain;
but praise the Lord, today there is healing in His name.
Chorus 1
I made it, so thankful,
I never could have made it this far without the Lord.
I made it, so thankful,
I never could have made it this far without the Lord.
Verse 2
So you've been hurt, feel so abused,
tried to do the right things, but you still got used.
I know you're wondering why so much pain,
the Lord wants you to know there's healing in His name.
Chorus 1
Chorus 2
Through sickness (by His stripes I've been healed).
Through sorrow (He was my comfort and all my strength).
Through heartache (Jesus healed all of my sins).
Depression (now I can sing).

Meaning & Inspiration
I Made It is a testimony of endurance that credits survival to the Lord rather than personal strength. The opening verse remembers trials that could not be explained and pain whose purpose remained unclear. Its answer is not a detailed account of why suffering occurred, but praise for healing found in the name of the Lord. The chorus then gathers that experience into gratitude, repeating that the distance already covered would have been impossible without divine help.
The second verse turns from personal testimony toward encouragement for someone who has been hurt, mistreated, or confused by continuing pain. The song names sickness, sorrow, heartache, and depression while presenting Christ as healer, comfort, and strength. Its reference to healing through his stripes clearly echoes Isaiah 53:5, and its survival theme is consistent with Pauls description of being struck down but not destroyed in Second Corinthians 4. The result is a gospel declaration that suffering is real, yet it need not have the final word when hope rests in the sustaining mercy of God.
