Lyrics
Chorus
Sina Mungu mwingine, wa kutegemea
mbiguni na duniani, hapana mwingine
sina cha kupendeza, wala cha faida
ila wewe bwana wangu, Mungu wa milele
Verse 1
Mwili na moyo wangu, vyaweza zimia
mbali Mungu ndiye nguvu, za uhai wangu
yeye sehemu yangu, milele daima
nitaingia hema yake, na sifa zake kuu
Verse 2
Ni nani mwingine ajazaye roho yangu
na kunipa raha kamili
ni nani semeni, akomboaye mwanadamu
na kumshindia shetani

Meaning & Inspiration
“Sina Mungu Mwingine,” which means “I have no other God,” is a Swahili worship song by Reuben Kigame with Sifa Voices. The chorus declares that there is no other God to depend on, in heaven or on earth, and that the singer has nothing attractive or beneficial to offer, only the Lord of eternity.
The first verse admits that body and heart may faint, yet God is the strength of life and a portion forever. This is close to Psalm 73:25-26, which says there is none on earth desired besides the Lord and that God is the strength of the heart and portion forever. The second verse asks who else can fill the soul, give complete rest, redeem humanity, and defeat Satan, pointing to the Saviour as the only answer.
The song is a plain confession of dependence, and its message is that all trust and worship belong to God alone.
