“Thank You” by Mary Mary is a gospel song of gratitude that begins with hard facts of daily life. The opening lists tragedies, disease, falling economies, and low pay, then turns to the singer’s answer: “Thank you, Lord, for all You’ve done for me.” The second verse names people on the streets and danger everywhere, and says that God has been her protection every step of the way.
