Lyrics
You rendered heaven
The veil was torn in two
You gave us Your spirit
Now we are close
Closer than we think
Creation is groaning
Longing for the unseen
Here in this moment
Eternity’s close
Closer than we think
What are they singing
What is it like
You are surrounded with thunder and light
Everything in us the longing the ache
To join with the heavens the anthem of praise
Holy, Holy
The train of His robe
Filling the temple
The elders and angels
All bowing down
Casting their crowns
The lamb who was slain
You are the risen king
Jesus our Savior
Alpha omega
End and beginning
Lion of Judah the One on the throne
The only One worthy to open the scrolls
You’ll split the heavens
and come for Your bride
Fulfill all You promised
With fire in Your eyes
Blessing and honor and glory and power
Belong to You alone
Blessing and honor and glory and power
Belong to You, Belong to You

Meaning & Inspiration
Throne Room gathers several biblical visions of God’s presence into a scene of awe-filled worship. The torn veil and the gift of the Spirit emphasize nearness to God, while creation’s groaning points toward the hope of what is still unseen. Questions about heaven then open into the repeated cry of holiness, portraying earthly longing as a desire to join the praise already surrounding God’s throne.
The second half draws on images from Isaiah and Revelation: the robe filling the temple, elders and angels bowing, crowns laid down, and the slain Lamb who lives. Jesus is named as Savior, risen King, Alpha and Omega, and the Lion of Judah who alone is worthy to open the scroll. These titles connect redemption with sovereign rule and promised return. The closing declaration that blessing, honor, glory, and power belong to God alone gives the song its fitting destination. Every image moves toward adoration of the One enthroned, whose holiness and victory command the worship of heaven and earth.
