About Kari Jobe
Kari Jobe is a contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and worship leader. She was born Kari Brooke Jobe on April 6, 1981, in Waco, Texas, and earned degrees in pastoral studies and psychology from Dallas Baptist University. Early in her career, she served as an associate worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, and began her musical journey as a member of the group Gateway Worship.
Jobe released her self-titled major-label debut album in 2009. She has since built a catalog that includes the albums Where I Find You, Majestic, and The Garden. Among the songs associated with her are “Revelation Song,” “Healer,” “Forever,” and “The Blessing,” the last of which she recorded with Elevation Worship and her husband, fellow contemporary Christian music artist Cody Carnes. “Forever” earned an RIAA Platinum certification, and “The Blessing” won the GMA Dove Award for Worship Recorded Song of the Year.
Jobe has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards and has won several GMA Dove Awards. Her album Majestic received the Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year. She and Carnes are married, and she continues to be recognized for her contributions to Christian worship music.
