Father, I'm but Your humble servant
Do with me what You will
I humble my heart so that

And restore my soul and make me whole

Lead me through the paths of the righteous
Protect me from all evil
Let Your light shine through me
Before others
And restore my soul and make me whole

Meaning & Inspiration

“Make Me Whole” by Beau Williams is a short prayer for restoration. It begins with a surrender: “Father, I’m but Your humble servant, do with me what You will,” and the singer humbles the heart in order to receive. The line “restore my soul and make me whole” returns after each section.

The second part asks to be led through the paths of the righteous, protected from evil, and let God’s light shine through the singer before others. The wording is close to Psalm 23:3, where the shepherd restores the soul and leads in paths of righteousness, and to Matthew 5:16 on letting light shine.

The chorus is a plain, repeated request, with the line “here’s my heart, here’s my soul.” The bridge asks to be taught to give the love that Jesus gave, and to have peace within. This is close to Psalm 51:10 and James 4:10, which link humility and a renewed heart. The prayer is quiet and direct, asking God for healing, protection, and love.
