There is more,
more to you oh Lord
Beyond all
That I’ve ever known

I want more,
More of you Yahweh
Fill me up
Till overflow…

Ina so in gan ka

Zuchia ta na niman
Yesu (my heart yearns for you Jesus)
In gan Daukakan kaa

Zuchia ta na niman
Yesu (my heart yearns for you Jesus)

Verse 2

How i hunger and thirst
for You Yahweh
In a dry and weary land

There’s no measure
To how much of you I want
Consume me now, Lord

Chorus

Ina so in gan ka
Yesu (I want to see you Jesus)
Zuchia ta na niman

Meaning & Inspiration

“More” by Kaestrings is a prayer of hunger for God, sung in English and Hausa. The first verse says there is more to the Lord than the singer has ever known, and asks to be filled until the cup overflows. The chorus says, “I want to see You, Jesus; my heart yearns for You,” and adds a wish to see His glory.

The second verse uses the picture of thirst in a dry and weary land, and says there is no measure to how much of God the singer wants. It ends with a plain request: “Consume me now, Lord.” The bridge repeats a short Hausa line of longing for Jesus, and then the chorus returns.

The lyric is close to Psalm 63:1, where the psalmist thirsts for God in a dry and weary land, and to Psalm 42:1-2 and Ephesians 3:19, which speak of longing for the living God and being filled with His fullness. The song is slow and devotional, and the repeated lines make it easy to sing together.
