Lyrics
Where two or three of you
Gather in my name I am there
I am there with you
And if just two of you
Stand in agreement
As you pray
Gathered in my name
My Father will hear your prayer
Hear your prayer and answer
And will give you anything
You ask in my name

Meaning & Inspiration
Where Two Or Three draws its central message directly from the teaching of Jesus about gathered prayer. The song emphasizes that a congregation does not need to be large for divine presence to matter. Even a small gathering formed in the name of Christ is presented as a place where he is present. That simple assurance gives shared prayer dignity, purpose, and confidence.
The lyric also connects agreement in prayer with the care of the Father. Its repetition keeps attention on unity rather than individual effort, portraying prayer as an act in which believers stand together before God. The promise of an answer is expressed plainly, closely echoing the language of Matthew 18, while asking in the name of Jesus also recalls his teaching in John 14. The song functions as a concise musical confession that Christian fellowship and prayer rest on the presence and authority of Christ.
