Atupendaye kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe, Ni nani kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe, Anaye tujali kama wewe, bwana, nani kama wewe, Ni nani kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe,

Mwenye enzi kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe, Ni nani kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe, Mtakatifu kama wewe, nani kama wewe, Mwenye enzi kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe, Ni nani kama wewe bwana, nani kama wewe,

Tunajua hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Tunajua hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana, Hakuna mwingine, kama wewe bwana,

Meaning & Inspiration

I keep playing this back, and honestly, the simplicity of the question keeps hitting me—who is like you, Lord? It’s not just a song; it feels like the kind of prayer that sticks in your throat because you realize you're asking something that the Bible spent centuries trying to answer. When I hear him sing about God’s power and holiness, it’s like he’s pulling straight from Exodus, that moment when the people realized no other god among the nations could rescue them like Yahweh did. There’s that verse in Isaiah that keeps coming up in my head, where God asks, "To whom then will you liken God?" It’s a rhetorical question, isn't it? It implies that the search for someone else is inherently futile.

But then I find myself stumbling over the part where he mentions God loving and caring for us like no one else does. It’s easy to sing that on a good day, but when things are falling apart, is that still the bedrock? I think about the way David poured out his heart in the Psalms, constantly amazed that the Creator of everything would actually notice someone small like him. It’s a heavy thought, really—that the same Being who holds all power and majesty is the one who chooses to care. It feels true, but sometimes I struggle to hold onto the weight of that when the world feels so big and quiet.

I don’t know. Part of me wants to analyze every word, but the song doesn't really let you do that. It just keeps repeating the same question, almost like it’s trying to wear down your doubts. If there’s truly no one else, then why do I keep looking for answers or security in places that clearly aren't Him? It makes me wonder if I actually believe that there is no one else, or if I’m just singing along because it sounds nice. It’s a bit unnerving, to be honest, realizing that maybe I’m still searching for a comparison.
