Fanuel Sedekia

Fanuel Sedekia was a Tanzanian gospel musician and worship leader based in Arusha. He was born in the Kigoma region of Tanzania and founded the Arusha-based band Evangelism-Through-Music (ETM) in the mid-1990s. He was known for leading praise and worship sessions in local congregations. Before his music ministry, he worked at the Kahama Bookshop in Arusha.

During his lifetime, Sedekia released five albums. His recorded work includes the albums Unaweza, Unaweza Tena, Jina La Yesu, Manukato, and Wamtumainio Bwana. Among the songs in his catalog are Nitaimba Halleluya, Ni Wewe, and Ametenda Maajabu. His music became a part of Swahili praise and worship across East Africa.

Fanuel Sedekia passed away on January 4, 2009, in Tiberias, Israel, while on a pilgrimage. His recordings and his role in founding ETM remain part of his contribution to Tanzanian gospel music.
