Lyrics
Intro
And he instructs us to be as holy as he is holy
Not the form of Godliness
But be holy as he is holy
We were in church one Sunday, Pastor
And the Lord gave me a song
And I don't get many songs like that in the middle of service
But then it just started to roll out and I started singing
Chorus
Only You are holy
Only You are worthy
Only You are wonderful
For there's no one else like You
Who is faithful ever true
All my love, my heart, my life
Is a testimony
Chorus (Repeat)
Only You are holy
Everybody join and sing
(Only You are holy)
Only You are worthy, Jesus
(Only You are worthy)
Only You are wonderful, Lord God
(Only You are wonderful)
For there's no one else like You
(For there's no one else like You)
Who is faithful ever true
(Who is faithful ever true)
All my love, my heart, my life
(All my love, my heart, my life)

(Only You are holy)
Chorus (Repeat)
Everybody raise your voice, only You are worthy Lord
(Only you are worthy)
Only You are wonderful, Lord
(Only You are wonderful)

Meaning & Inspiration
“Only You Are Holy” by Donnie McClurkin is a live worship recording that opens with spoken words about holiness. The speaker says God instructs His people to be holy as He is holy, not holding to a form of godliness, then tells how a song came in the middle of a church service.
The song itself is a short, repeated confession: “Only You are holy, only You are worthy, only You are wonderful, for there’s no one else like You.” The singer calls God faithful and ever true and offers his love, heart, and life as a testimony. The congregation repeats each line back, so the recording moves as call and response. The opening words are close to 1 Peter 1:15-16, and the praise echoes Revelation 15:4.
Later the leader invites everyone to raise their voice, and the song moves to “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,” close to Isaiah 6:3 and Revelation 4:8. It closes with a spoken chant, “You are holy.”
