Lyrics
Yesu (Yuko hapa)
Yesu (Yuko hapa)
Yesu (Yuko hapa)
(Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa)
Namuona Yesu (Yuko hapa)
Oh Namuona Baba (Yuko hapa)
Namuona Yesu (Yuko hapa)
(Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa)
Oh Namuona Yesu (Yuko hapa)
Ooh Namuona Mungu (Yuko hapa)
Oooh Namuona Mungu wangu (Yuko hapa)
Namuona Baba namuona Yesu (Yuko hapa)
(Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa)
Naziona nguvu zake (Yuko hapa)
Nauona mkono wake (Yuko hapa)
Nauona muujiza wake
(Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa, Yuko hapa)

Meaning & Inspiration
I keep thinking about the way Christopher repeats that Jesus is right here. It’s so simple, almost repetitive to the point where I stop listening to the melody and just sit with the weight of it. When he says Yuko hapa, he’s really leaning into that promise that where two or three are gathered, there He is in the middle of them. It feels like he’s trying to shift his focus, maybe even pull his own mind away from whatever trouble he's facing and force it to see the Lord’s presence instead. It makes me think of Jacob at Bethel, realizing God was in that place and he hadn't even known it, which is kind of wild if you really stop to consider how often we go through our day forgetting that.
But then he starts singing about seeing the power and the miracles, and that’s where my head starts to spin a little bit. It’s easy to say God is here when you see a miracle happen, but does it stay true when things are quiet or when everything is falling apart? The song pushes this idea that because Jesus is here, you can tangibly see His hand in the movement of things. I suppose that’s the definition of faith—being sure of what we hope for even if we can't always touch it—but it’s hard to reconcile that with the days when His presence feels hidden or silent. I want to believe that His presence is an absolute, constant reality regardless of whether a miracle follows, but I’m still working through whether the song is rooting its joy in Him or just in the evidence of what He can do for us. It’s comforting to claim He is here, but I wonder if I’m just looking for a sign to prove it, rather than just resting in the fact that He said He would never leave.
