The song praises God as the King of kings, known through signs, wonders, and deliverance. Its Swahili verses recall how God revealed his ways to Moses, judged Pharaoh, and rescued his children. Those images parallel both Psalm 103:7 and the Exodus account of Israel's deliverance at the sea. The enemies' fear and the redeemed people's joy place the praise in the story of God's saving action.
