Meaning & Inspiration

I believe this is true—but if I’m honest, part of me still hesitates when I try to live it out.

The song keeps talking about hiding in God like it’s a physical room with a heavy door. I think about that guy who climbed a tree to see someone famous pass by, just squeezing himself between the branches to stay out of sight. It’s weird to imagine shrinking down small enough to fit inside a person. Most people just hum the melody and don't care about the logistics of the metaphor. I’m stuck on the actual shape of being inside something that isn’t a box. How do you breathe when the walls are made of someone else’s spirit? It feels like trying to sleep in a closet that moves when you move.

It’s hard to stay hidden when my own pride keeps trying to push the door open.
