Jimmy D Psalmist (born Jimmy Johnson Essien) is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He was born on August 25, 1983, in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He holds a degree in Physics from the University of Calabar.
He has served as a worship leader at Shepherds House Assembly International in Abuja and previously served as a worship leader at Dunamis International Gospel Center in Abuja. He is the convener of the "WAR-SHIP Experience" concert series. Jimmy D Psalmist is married to Mary-Joy Jimmy, and they have two children.
His recorded songs include "Mighty Man of War," "Consuming Fire," "Indomitable," "Name Above All Names," "Great and Terrible," "Protocol Breaker," and "Jesus Reigns (Live)." He has also released the album "Golden City."
