We Will Worship

We Will Worship is a South African gospel collective formed in 2006. The group describes itself as a movement rather than a traditional band, made up of friends brought together by a common love for God and music. It was founded and is led by Langa Mbonambi.

The collective’s music blends traditional South African gospel sounds with contemporary worship elements. Their songs are often recorded in live, communal settings and feature multiple Southern African languages. Through their creative arm, Vine & Vibes, they explore storytelling and faith expression beyond traditional church spaces. Members of the collective maintain careers in fields such as accounting, teaching, and student life while continuing their worship ministry.

We Will Worship has released several albums, including The Movement Begins, YHWH, MMUSO, Seasons, Vol. 1, and Seasons, Vol. 2. Songs from their catalog include “Like Oil,” “This I Know (Ungizungezile),” and “Ndiyabulela.” Their album MMUSO (2016) debuted at number one on the South African iTunes chart. Both Seasons, Vol. 1 and Seasons, Vol. 2 also debuted at number one on the same chart and remained at number one on the Christian/Gospel charts for five weeks.
