Look at me now what do you see?
Eh, I don't look like what I've been through
Look at me now I wasn't given a chance

Look at me now, what do you see?
I don't look like what I've been through
Look at me now, I wasn't given a chance
But God turned my life around

Am a product of mercy and grace
Highly favored and so blessed
Am a product of mercy and grace
Highly favored and so blessed
That's who I am

I'm a Walking Miracle,
Talking Miracle

that's who I am

Meaning & Inspiration

“Walking Miracle” by Tim Godfrey is a testimony song about a changed life. The first verse asks the listener to look at the singer now and says that he does not look like what he has been through. He was not given a chance, but God turned his life around.

The pre-chorus gives the reason: “I’m a product of mercy and grace, highly favored and so blessed.” That wording is close to Ephesians 2:8 on being saved by grace, and to Luke 1:28 on being favored. The singer credits what happened to God, not to his own effort.

The chorus repeats “Walking miracle, talking miracle, living miracle, that’s who I am,” and invites everyone to walk with him. It is a joyful, call-and-response refrain that a crowd can sing. The idea of a life itself being a miracle is also close to Psalm 71:7, “I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.”
