Tim Godfrey is a Nigerian gospel singer, music minister, and worship leader who founded the gospel group Xtreme Crew. He was born Timothy Chukwudi Godfrey on August 26, 1980, in Kaduna, Nigeria, and began his professional music career in February 2004. Godfrey also serves as the founder and CEO of the record label Rox Nation and convenes the annual "Fearless" gospel concert, which has featured international artists including Kirk Franklin and Travis Greene.
Godfrey works as a singer, songwriter, music director, producer, and vocal instructor. He has collaborated with several well-known gospel artists, including Travis Greene on the song "Nara," Israel Houghton on "Toya," and JJ Hairston on "Onaga." Other songs in his catalog include "Agidigba" and "God Turned It Around," featuring Nathaniel Bassey and Tim Bowman Jr.
Godfrey has released multiple albums, including "Soundcheck," "iWorship," and "Audience of One." In 2012, he received the Best Gospel Artist/Group of the Year award at the NEA Awards. In 2019, he won the Musical Group of Excellence at the Africa Gospel and Media Awards (AGAMA) and was named Male African Artiste of the Year at the GTMA Awards. He also received an honorary doctorate in Fine Art and Musicology from Trinity International University of Ambassadors in 2018.
