Lyrics
Verse 1
This month, this year
The Lord has made room for you
Right now, right there where you are
The Lord has made room for you
Stretch to the east and the west
The Lord has made room for you
Yes, to the north and the south
The Lord has made room for you
Chorus
Enlarge your tent
Don't be afraid
The Lord your God has gone ahead of you
Let faith arise from within you
Walk on water, subdue and take the earth

Meaning & Inspiration
“Room” by Victoria Orenze is a prophetic worship song about God making space for His people to grow. The verse repeats “The Lord has made room for you” and applies it to now, to wherever the listener stands, and to every direction: east, west, north and south. The chorus gives the command that goes with it, “Enlarge your tent, don’t be afraid,” followed by the promise that the Lord has gone ahead.
The chorus also calls for faith to rise from within and to “walk on water.” Later the lines are sung in the first person, “The Lord has made room for me,” so the message becomes a personal testimony as well as a word for others. The outro stacks up the images of enlarging the tent, the coast and the territory.
The lyrics are close to Isaiah 54:2-3, which speaks of enlarging the tent, and to Genesis 26:22, where Isaac says the Lord has made room. Matthew 14:29 also recalls walking on water. The song’s tone is expectant and confident.
