Lyrics
[Verse]
We lay down the old flames
We lay down the old ways
We lay down the old flames
Take up your new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up your new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
Take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
We take up new fire
We lay down the old flames
Take up new fire
Soaring on the wings of the spirit
Soaring on the wings of the spirit
We take down the old flames
We take on new fire
We welcome the exchange
We take on new fire
Have your way
We lay down the old flames
We take your new fire
We lay down the old flames
Take your new fire
We take your new fire
We welcome the exchange
We take in new fire
New fire
Have your way
New fire
Have your way
New fire
Have your way
Have your way
Have your way
Have your way
We reach for new fire
New fire
Have your way
Purify
Sanctify
New fire
Have your way
Purify
Sanctify
New fire
Have your way
Empower
Anoint
New fire
Have your way
Sanctify
Purify
New fire
Have your way
Burn away
Does the fire not burn in your loins, oh God?
Are you not the God of fire?
For your fire is intelligent
Your fire is ageless
Your fire moves from generation to generation
Your fire has a name
Your fire has dimensions
Your fire has an anointing
Your fire has a presence
Your fire is called the Holy Ghost
We welcome the fresh expression of the spirit of God
Upon our generation
Upon the earth
Upon the church
Upon the nation
We decree and we declare that this fresh fire is a fire for warfare
It's a fire that goes against the kingdom of darkness
Have your way, fresh fire of God
Have your way, fresh move of the spirit
Have your way, have your way
Have your way
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Have your way
Deuteronomy 4:24
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Have your way
Exodus 15:11
Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
We welcome this exchange
Take up new fire
We welcome this exchange
Blazing fire
Refiners fire
We welcome this exchange
Refiners fire
You will purify the sons of Levi
That we may offer up an offering
Offering that's pleasing unto you, Lord
You will purify the sons of Levi
We may offer up an offering
Pleasing unto you, Lord
Come refine us fire
Sit in our bellies
Sit in our spirit
Come refine us fire
Sit in our bellies
That we may ascend to heights untold
Come refine us fire
Purify the daughters of the spirit
That we may offer up an offering
Pleasing unto you everyday
Everyday
Every hour
Every moment
Crying out for you
We receive the exchange
Refine us fire
Refine us fire
Refine us fire
So I have this revelation
And so there have been many fires upon the earth
And sometimes the fire
Can come in form of a revolution, burning from heart to heart, from man to man
And that is like the fire that burns in the forest fire moving from tree to tree
That kind of fire can be controlled
And then sometimes when that kind of fire starts to burn, you see firemen start to run towards the source to try to contain it
But when the fire is coming from within the earth
The only response is an evacuation
It is not fire that you can stand against
It is not fire that you can control
It is coming from a place that you do not know
This is the fire that we speak of
It cannot be controlled
It cannot be contained
It can
The only response
For those who are standing in its way
Is evacuation or destruction
This is the fire
Oh, it's a fire that's raging
The very power of God
No man can contain it
No idea can stop it
We welcome the exchange, oh
But it's a force
That no counter force
Will dare to stand before
It is the move of God
Acts 2:3
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
Let me burn for you
Let me burn for you
Let me burn for you
Let me burn for you
Let me burn for you
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Holy Ghost
Let me burn for you
Holy Ghost
Let me catch fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
Let me burn for you
Set my heart on fire
I wanna burn for you
Romans 12:11
Never let the fire in your heart go out. Keep it alive. Serve the Lord.
Holy fire, burn
Burn across the nations, burn
Swallow up lies
Swallow up dirt
Swallow up unholiness
As we catch fire
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
This raging firestorm
We all catch fire
When your fire joins to my fire, we burn
We all catch fire
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Your fire
Is one with my fire
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
We catch fire for you, oh
Catch fire
Psalm 33:9
My heart grew hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue:
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Delivering our children, oh God
Encircling them against unholiness
We catch fire
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
He makes our nation untouchable
Your fire and my fire together
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
As we burn for you
We catch fire
We are contagious fire
We are a raging fire
We are a cleansing fire
We are purifying fire
We are changing force
Who can stand before this firestorm?
As we burn for you
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
This raging firestorm
We catch fire
Your fire and my fire is big fire
Let it burn for you
Encircling our children, oh
We catch fire, oh
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
We burn for you
Can sickness stand before it?
Can cancer survive it? No
Evacuations are happening
Darkness is taking off
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
What can stand before you, God?
As we burn for you, your fire and my fire is big fire
Catch fire
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Addictions cannot stand
Sin will not stand
Old cycles will not stand
Old cycles of sin, religion and weakness cannot stand
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Divorce will not stand before it
Depression has to evacuate
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Spiritual lukewarminess evacuates
Who can stand before this raging firestorm?
Nothing
Leviticus 6:12
The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.
There is fire on this mountain
I said there is fire on this mountain
And it is the mountain of the Lord
For we are standing on the mountain
We are living in the mountain
We have become his mountain here on earth
And there is fire on this mountain
For when the fire was upon the mountain
They could not touch it
They ran away from the mountain
They said Moses go for us
Because his presence is too dreadful
The fire is burning
It looks like it will consume us
Moses go for us
For we are a generation that is not afraid of the fire
We see the fire
We run to the fire
We dance in the fire
We bathe with the fire
We make garments of fire
We eat meals of fire
We drink waters of fire
We sit in the fire
The fire is life to us
The fire is power to us
The fire is glory to us
For we dance with the fire
We have a relationship with this fire
This fire is our father
It is by the fire that we were formed
It is by the fire that we came forth
It is by the seed of the fire that we appear
It is by the hand of the fire we came out of the womb
The fire has accompanied us all the days of our life
The fire has pursued demonic spirit
The fire has chased away the hordes of hell that rose up against us
We are friends with the fire
The fire has a name
And his name is Jesus
The Bible declares that when they had waited on him that on that day there was a sound of a mighty rushing wind
That came into the room and the Bible declares that when they entered the room
That it broke upon them as tongues of fire
For we are children that are marked by fire
We are children that are visited by fire
We are children that are known by fire
We see through the eyes of fire
We hear through the ears of fire
Only fire defines what we receive
For he came upon them as tongues of fire
Upon every man and upon every woman and upon every child that was in the room
The Bible says that the fire of the Holy Ghost came upon them and unto everyone that received the fire
He changed their tongue
He changed their language
He changed the interpretation that they knew of God
Once the fire comes upon us
Something begins to happen on the inside of us
Our souls begin to burn with new desire
Our hearts begin to pant with new affection
Our spirit begin to glide with new velocity
For the fire is a fire of reconfiguration
It is a fire of reconstruction
It is a fire of remaking
We welcome the fire of the Holy Ghost
Because we are a generation of fire
And there is fire
There is fire on this mountain
There is fire on my mountain
The lamp of our fellowship is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my communion is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my pursuit is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my affection is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my repentance is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my hope is powered by the fire of God
The lamp of my joy is powered by the fire of God
Without his fire, who would I be?
Without his fire, where would I be?
Without his fire, how would I live?
Lord, I live by your fire
Lord, I live for your fire
Lord, I cry for your fire
Fire, fire, fire fall upon me, oh God
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
Clothe me, oh God, with the garment of fire
Clothe me, oh God, with the mantle of fire
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
Fire as garment, fire as mantle
I shall be clothed by his fire
Not the clothes of men, not the glory of men
Not the power of men
Not the glory of this age, not the power of this world
I don't desire the power of this world
I don't desire the fame of this world
I desire the fire of the eternal everlasting God
Clothe me with your fire, Lord
Clothe me with your fire
Clothe me with your fire
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
I carry fire for head, oh
Clothe me with your fire
I carry fire for head, oh
You clothe me with your fire
Fire for head, oh
You clothe me with your fire
You baptize me
Cover me in fire
Immerse me
Immerse me
Clothe me in your fire
Baptize me
Immerse me
Clothe me with your fire
Take over
All of me
Clothe me with your fire
So how does a man on fire behave?
He's absolutely unaware
Of any other element
You cannot distract a man on fire
You cannot quiet a man on fire
Baptize me
Oh, you immerse me
You clothe me in your fire
Oh, who am I without your fire?
