Am I waking from dreams like a child in the night?
Am I turning from wrong and embracing the right?
Am I moving from darkness out into light?
Is that why there are tears in my eyes?
What a fool I have been to have lived all alone
As a rule I have lived with no cares but my own
I have needed no love and no love I have shown
Is that why there are tears in my eyes? (in my eyes)
Am I living again
Am I living as when I was young with a trust of a child?
Am I learning to see why Christ anguished for me?
And that through His death and life we're reconciled...reconciled.
Am I turning around, am I changing my course?
Can God cancel the past, can there be such divorce?
Am I feeling compelled by the Spirit's great force?
Is that why I am stunned with surprise?
At least tears, (precious tears), tears of joy, (tears of joy) in my eyes.
