Lyrics
Verse 1
The road we take
We can't seem to find your way
It might be hard to put your trust in God
No matter how long it takes
If you're worn and weary and back
Crying all through the night
That's when God steps in
And He's gonna make everything alright
Chorus
It's gonna be better than this
(It's gonna be better than this)
You're gonna be better than this
(Gotta get better than this)
Do you believe in Him?
(I'm gonna be better than this)
Yeah, you're gonna be better than this
(Gotta get better than this)
Verse 2
Come on choir, help me say one thing
There is one thing that I know
That I know
My God is in control
We've been, we've been in and doing it
Only just for one night
But joy will come
In the morning light
You're gonna hold on
Chorus
Hold on
(It's gonna be better than this)
Hold on
(It's gonna be better than this)
That's what you gotta do, honey
(It's gonna be better than this)
Yeah, it's gonna be better than this
(It's gonna be better than this)
Gotta tell me, tell you to hold on
(It's gonna be better than this)
And don't let go
(It's gonna be better than this)
Bridge
Come on y'all, put your hands together
Just need you to touch your neighbor and say
It's about to get better
Yeah
Come on y'all
(It's gonna be better than this)
Gotta get better
(It's gonna be better than this)
Yes, it's gonna get better
(It's gonna be better than this)
No matter what it looks like
(It's gonna be better than this)
No matter what it feels like
(It's gonna be better than this)
No matter what it appears to be
(It's gonna be better than this)
I'm here to tell you that
(It's gonna be better than this)
It's got to get better
(It's gonna be better than this)
Better days are coming
(It's gonna be better than this)
Your success is in the future
(It's gonna be better than this)
God is working it out
(It's gonna be better than this)
Just like the time to do it
(It's gonna be better than this)
I'm still waiting
(It's gonna be better than this)
Can you see a change?
(It's gonna be better than this)
Can you know that a change
(It's gonna be better than this)
Know that a change is coming
(It's gonna be better than this)
Even in the midst of sorrow
(It's gonna be better than this)
Even in the midst of pain
(It's gonna be better than this)
Even when things go wrong
(It's gonna be better than this)
Even in the midst of shame
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta praise your God
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta trust your God
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta know it's gonna work out
(It's gonna be better than this)
God's gonna make it better
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta hold on, yeah
(It's gonna be better than this)
Yes, it's gonna be better
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta sing it like you know it
(It's gonna be better than this)
You gotta feel it like you know it
(It's gonna be better than this)
