“Testimony” by Terrian is a declaration that the singer’s own life is evidence of what God has done. The opening verses speak of a moment where everything turns and of reading the stories of the Lord parting the sea and setting captives free, then never expecting to become one of them. The chorus names that surprise: “I am a living, breathing, walking testimony.”
The second verse answers critics who said the singer would not make it, and points to “the God that I serve” as more than enough, able to “move mountains” and “make broken beautiful.” The bridge says the enemy did what he could, but the Lord used it for good, which is close to Genesis 50:20, and it recalls John 10:10 with the thief who tried to steal and destroy.
