About Terrian
Terrian Bass Woods, an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter, first stepped into the national spotlight as a vocalist in TobyMac’s touring band, Diverse City. Born on September 2, 1996, in Memphis, Tennessee, she brought a strong musical foundation to the stage, having previously competed on the fifteenth season of American Idol and reached the Hollywood rounds. In 2017, she joined Diverse City, where she gained early recognition and began building a career rooted in faith-based music.
Terrian launched her solo journey after signing with Gotee Records. She released her debut single, “God With Us,” in 2019, followed by “In The Arms” later that year and “You Still Do” in 2020. Her first EP, Genesis of Terrian, arrived in 2021, and her debut full-length studio album, Give It Time, was released in 2024. That same year, her single “Honestly, We Just Need Jesus” reached the Top 10 on the Billboard AC Airplay chart.
Beyond her recordings, Terrian is committed to mentoring young musicians through AngelStreet Memphis, a nonprofit organization that provides musical training to girls. She was named one of Pandora’s Artists to Watch in 2021 and received a nomination for Female Artist of the Year at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards.
Terrian is married to Ian Woods. Her catalog also includes the single “Big God,” released in 2023. Through her work with Diverse City and her own songwriting, she continues to share messages of faith drawn from her Memphis roots and personal journey.
