“The Worship Medley” joins three familiar worship movements into one extended confession of God’s pursuing love, the risen Christ, and creation’s praise. It begins with determined images of divine pursuit and the shepherd who seeks the lost. The middle section responds to the resurrection by calling Christ Savior and Lord. Its closing movement shifts toward breath, bodies, and the whole earth, presenting praise as the fitting response to life received from God.
The reference to leaving the ninety-nine clearly echoes Jesus’ parable in Luke 15:4–7, where a shepherd seeks one lost sheep and rejoices when it is found. The declaration that Christ is risen aligns with 1 Corinthians 15:20, which names Christ as raised from the dead. The repeated image of breath in human lungs also recalls Genesis 2:7, where God breathes life into humanity. Across the medley, these themes form a progression from being sought, to bowing before the risen Lord, to returning God-given breath in praise.
