Lyrics
Verse 1
There before Pilate, the verdict was set
(Luke 23)
They spat on his face, a thorny crown on his head.
(Matthew 27:27-31)
Open the gates, push back the crowd
Noise and confusion, time to move out
(John 19:16-19)
Chorus
The world was rocked that holy day
As Jesus gave His life away, away?
Jerusalem 3 p.m.
(Matthew 27:45-53)
Verse 2
Stretch Him out, drive the nails through his hands
"Father forgive them?"?is what He said
(Luke 23:33-34)
Soldiers pacing, Disciples on the run
They couldn't believe, the deed was done.
(Mark 14:50)

Verse 3
"It is finished." Those are the words that He said
Then He laid down His life, as he bowed His head.
He did it for you, He did it for me
He did it for every-one, who will believe
(John 19:30, John 3:16-18)
Chorus
