Lyrics
If there be anyone who's going through,
we have an answer to the problem for you;
trust and obey and never give in,
only the strong shall survive and win.
Just ask the question and the answer shall come,
just exercise your faith and know He's the one.
1:
If there is no sign,
keep this in mind,
He'll show up on time.
God is not a man that He'll tell you a lie.
If He tells you so, on Him you can rely.
God is not a man that He'll tell you a lie.
If He tells you so, on Him you can rely.
God is not a man that He'll tell you a lie.
If He tells you so, on Him you can rely.
2:
If there is no sign,
(repeat as desired)
keep this in mind,
He'll show up on time.
Vamp 1:
Show up, show up, show up,
He'll show up on time.
Vamp 2:
Show up, show up, show up.
Vamp 3:
Show up.
He will show up, show up,
He will show up, show up,
He will show up, show up on time.

Meaning & Inspiration
Show Up encourages steadfast faith when no visible answer has appeared. Its opening lines place trust and obedience against pressure to surrender, then direct every question toward God. The repeated assurance that he will arrive on time does not depend on circumstances offering an early sign. Instead, the song grounds confidence in the truthfulness and reliability of God.
The statement that God is not a man who lies closely echoes Numbers 23:19, which contrasts divine faithfulness with human changeability. Hebrews 10:35-36 also suits the call to endure and continue doing the will of God while awaiting what has been promised. Repetition carries much of the song: the central assurance returns several times before the vamps reduce it to the words show up. That narrowing focus gives the music the character of a sustained confession, reinforcing patience, faith, and confidence during delay.
