Fear is the big bully
In the high school hallway
It’s brash, it’s loud, it’s unproductive
But for all the noise
That fear has made in my life
It has never done good
For me
Fear never wrote a symphony
Never penned a poem
It was not fear that negotiated peace treaties
Gave to the poor
It was not fear that cured a disease
It was not fear that ever pulled a family out of poverty
Courage did that
Faith did that
People who refuse to cower did that
That's why we're here today, fearless church
To be the devil's greatest fear
I'm breaking out of my silence

I wave a banner in triumph
All hell can't stop my praise
For every time he’s made me wake up in the middle of the night
For every time he’s stolen my sleep
I am gonna be a fearless church

If he made it his mission to make me afraid
I'm gonna make it my mission to live in perfect love that casts out all fear
