Christmas is a lovely time,
Of quiet, peace and rest.
Everybody gets a little break,
But the baby in a manger,
And the smile upon His face,
Call us to a deeper life of faith.
Christmas is especially for those who love the Lord,
And will follow close to Jesus, from the stable to the throne.
Those who love Him, so, that they will always try to make,
Every day of every year, a celebration of His birth.
When we follow after Him,
And leave the Christmas scene.
Soon, we'll see a hill,
A rugged cross.
And we must approach it,
And bow down,
That is the only way.
To truly honor Christ, the Child, the King.
