Now I'm gonna be real, and tell you who I was to who I've become
I've done just about everything under the sun

Before what I didn't understand

The knowledge, the truth, the word

Started way back when I was just a lil munchkin, growin up with Jewish tradition
My momma got saved, guided me and I became a Christian
Betime prayers and sunday school
I learned about love and courage through the stories that I heard
And even got baptized in water, but...
The truth is, the importance of obedience
Why do we say Lord I love you but then don't obey you?
Now although I thought I was fine, just living life with compromise
I did what I thought was right
But then again, who am i, to decide
I'm just a woman so much less than perfect
And the authority is not mine
Submission, habitually yeilding to the law
For when my mind is stayed on thee, I've got peace
But most of all, I'm less likely to fall
Cuz to obey makes me strong
Your decrees are wonderful and Lord I'm thankful
Now Father forgive me for not listening
I am now willingly submitting my will to be conformed to Your son's image
