About Ruth Wamuyu

Ruth Wamuyu is a Kenyan gospel recording artist and an ordained pastor who serves as the founder of House of Judah Ministries. She began her music career in the early 1990s, and her breakthrough came in 1998 with the release of the single “Mambo Sawa Sawa.” In 2000, she recorded her first album, Asante, marking the start of a discography that would grow to include numerous releases over a career spanning more than twenty-five years.

Wamuyu’s musical style incorporates modern beats and African rhythms, and she often sings in Kikuyu and Swahili. Her catalog includes songs such as “Ngai Murathimi,” “Amukira Ngatho,” “I Surrender,” “Angalia,” and “Inuka.” In 2021, she released the album Tiga Niwe, continuing her long-running ministry in worship music.

Beyond her recording work, Wamuyu leads House of Judah Ministries, where she serves as a pastor. She is also a mother. While her career has been marked by steady output rather than high-profile awards, her role as both a recording artist and a church leader has made her a familiar presence in Kenyan gospel music for more than two decades.
