Kelsy Kerubo

Kelsy Kerubo is a Kenyan gospel musician who performs as a solo artist and as a member of the Msanii Music Group, which she joined in 2020. Her musical journey began in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Nairobi, where she was born as the firstborn in a family of five. She attended Jobenpha Primary School and Tonga Omonuri Primary School before later pursuing academic studies in psychology with a minor in sociology.

Kerubo has built a catalog of gospel songs that includes “Nasonga Mbele,” a collaboration with Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando, as well as “Nina Haja Na Wewe,” “Haujachelewa,” “Amenichekesha,” “Siku Yetu,” “Ondoka Uangaze,” “Ahadi Zake,” and “Narejea.” Her music is available on digital platforms and has been categorized within the Christian music genre.

In 2023, Kerubo received recognition for her work when she won the Female Musician of the Year award at the inaugural Kibali Awards. The honor marked a milestone in her career, highlighting her emergence as a recognized voice in Kenyan gospel music.
