Lisikieni neno hili alilolisema Bwana juu yenu, enyi wana wa Israeli, juu ya jamaa yote niliowapandisha kutoka nchi ya Misri, nikisema,
Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt:

Ni ninyi tu niliowajua katika jamaa zote zilizo duniani; kwa sababu hiyo nitawapatiliza ninyi maovu yenu yote.
“Only you have I known from all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.”

Je! Watu wawili waweza kutembea pamoja, wasipokuwa wamepatana?
Can two walk together without agreeing where to go?

Je! Simba atanguruma mwituni, asipokuwa na mawindo? Mwana-simba atalia pangoni mwake, ikiwa hakupata kitu?
Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl in his den if he has caught nothing?

Je! Ndege ataanguka mtegoni juu ya nchi, mahali asipotegewa tanzi? Mtego utafyatuka juu ya nchi, bila kunasa kitu cho chote?
Does a bird land in a snare where no bait has been set? Does a trap spring from the ground when it has nothing to catch?

Je! Tarumbeta itapigwa mjini, watu wasiogope? Mji utapatikana na hali mbaya, asiyoileta Bwana?
If a ram’s horn sounds in a city, do the people not tremble? If calamity comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?

Hakika Bwana MUNGU hatafanya neno lo lote, bila kuwafunulia watumishi wake manabii siri yake.
Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.

Simba amekwisha kunguruma, ni nani asiyeogopa? Bwana MUNGU amenena, ni nani awezaye neno ila kutabiri?
The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken—who will not prophesy?

Tangazeni habari katika majumba ya Ashdodi, na katika majumba ya nchi ya Misri, mkaseme, Kusanyikeni juu ya milima ya Samaria, katazameni, ni mishindo mikubwa kama nini iliyomo humo, na udhalimu mwingi kama nini uliomo ndani yake.
Proclaim to the citadels of Ashdod and to the citadels of Egypt: “Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; see the great unrest in the city and the acts of oppression in her midst.”

Kwa maana hawajui kutenda haki, asema Bwana, hao wawekao akiba ya jeuri na unyang'anyi katika majumba yao.
“For they know not how to do right,” declares the LORD. “They store up violence and destruction in their citadels.”

Basi, haya ndiyo asemayo Bwana MUNGU; Atakuwako adui, kuizunguka nchi pande zote; naye atazishusha chini nguvu zako zikutoke; na majumba yako yatatekwa nyara.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: “An enemy will surround the land; he will pull down your strongholds and plunder your citadels.”

Haya ndiyo asemayo Bwana; Kama vile mchungaji apokonyavyo kinywani mwa simba miguu miwili, au kipande cha sikio; ndivyo watakavyopokonywa wana wa Israeli, wakaao Samaria katika pembe ya semadari, na juu ya mito ya hariri ya kitanda.
This is what the LORD says: “As the shepherd snatches from the mouth of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so the Israelites dwelling in Samaria will be rescued having just the corner of a bed or the cushion of a couch.

Sikieni, mkashuhudu juu ya nyumba ya Yakobo, asema Bwana, MUNGU wa majeshi.
Hear and testify against the house of Jacob, declares the Lord GOD, the God of Hosts.

Kwani katika siku ile nitakapompatiliza Israeli makosa yake, nitazipatiliza pia madhabahu za Betheli, na pembe za madhabahu zitakatiliwa mbali, na kuanguka chini.
On the day I punish Israel for their transgressions, I will visit destruction on the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be cut off, and they will fall to the ground.

Nami nitaipiga nyumba ya wakati wa baridi pamoja na nyumba ya wakati wa hari; na hizo nyumba za pembe zitaangamia, nazo nyumba kubwa zitakuwa na mwisho, asema Bwana.
I will tear down the winter house along with the summer house; the houses of ivory will also perish, and the great houses will come to an end,” declares the LORD.
