Can I take you back to Nazareth where a carpenter once lived
and a little boy who loved to watch him work
He learned to carve the wood and He learned to drive a nail
and lay among the shavings in the dirt
Can you see Him in the temple, just a lad of twelve years old
who astonished all the teachers with His words
He faced them without fear. He knew just what to say
He told them things that they had never heard
Picture this He's rising from the Jordan River
There's something supernatural going on
We heard it in the message John delivered;
he'd baptized Jesus Christ, God's only Son
He died for sin. He rose and then ascended
back to Heaven and that's where He still is
The Holy Lamb is now the Priest and He ever intercedes
but if you think His story's over picture this
Can you see an angel standing with a trumpet in his hand
getting ready now to call God's children home
We're looking everyday to see our Lord appear.
The signs are clear it won't be very long
Picture this it's Jesus coming in His glory
With the angels He's appearing in the clouds
Just as all the prophets have foretold it
every eye will see Him coming down
and though we may not know the day or hour
for a thousand years we'll sing a victory song
Satan will be bound. The lamb and lion will lay down
