Meaning & Inspiration
“Fragile Heart” by Yolanda Adams is a song about grief and leaning on God. The opening verses recall happy memories and promises of someone who would never leave, then turn to the news of a tragedy. The singer says she stayed strong for others and shed no tear, but when everyone else disappears, it is God who keeps her strong.
The chorus and later verses center on a decision to give her broken heart back to the Lord. She says that when she thinks about life, all else fades and there is only God and herself, and giving up is not an option.
