Meaning & Inspiration
“All I Have” by Victor Ivyic is a worship song that places Jesus at the center of the singer’s life. The chorus is a short confession: “All I have is Jesus in my life,” later widened to “You are all I need.” Around it, a refrain promises to praise the Lord all the singer’s days, and the first verse offers the whole of life to Him.
The middle verses tell a testimony. When the singer was lost, Jesus found the way and turned night into day. Chains were broken, and the singer now walks in victory through fire and rain, because He stays the same. Verse three adds, “I had nothing, You gave me life.” That language is close to Psalm 40:2, where God lifts someone out of the pit and sets their feet on a rock.
The bridge states the point most plainly: “If I have You, I have it all,” and even when the singer falls, God will not let go. The song is simple and repetitive, and its message is gratitude and contentment in Christ.
