Lyrics

Verse 1

How many angels at Your throne
But none of them can open up the scroll
It’s Yours alone

How many saints have joined the song
And still there's room for us to sing along
Forevermore

Chorus

Holy Holy
Holy Holy
Is the Lord
Is the Lord

Verse 2

How many kings with earthly crowns
Before Your feet will surely cast them down
They’re worthless now

How Worthy is the Lamb of God
Who was and is and surely is to come
You’re here with us

Chorus (x2)

Holy Holy
Holy Holy
Is the Lord
Is the Lord

Refrain (x2)

And everybody shouts Holy
And everybody cries Worthy
And Glory fills the room
Your Glory fills the room

Bridge (x3)

When You’re in the room
Heaven can happen
You’re in the room

When You’re in the room
Nothing else matters
You’re in the room

Refrain (Repeat)

And everybody shouts Holy
And everybody cries Worthy
And Glory fills the room
Your Glory fills the room

Bridge (x2)

When You’re in the room
Heaven can happen
You’re in the room

When You’re in the room
Nothing else matters
You’re in the room

Outro

Holy Holy
Holy Holy
Is the Lord
Is the Lord

Meaning & Inspiration

“Room” is a worship song that sets the heavenly scene of Revelation beside the gathered church on earth. The verses ask “how many angels at Your throne,” noting that none can open the scroll, and “how many saints have joined the song,” yet “there’s room for us to sing along.” The chorus answers with “Holy Holy Is the Lord,” and the second verse adds kings casting down their earthly crowns before the Lamb who “was and is and surely is to come.”

The imagery is close to Revelation 4 and 5, where the living creatures cry holy, the elders cast down their crowns, and only the Lamb is found worthy to open the scroll. The song brings that vision into the present: “Glory fills the room,” and the line “You’re here with us” treats worship as a meeting with God and not only a remembrance.

The bridge repeats “When You’re in the room, heaven can happen” and “nothing else matters,” turning the vision into a declaration about God’s presence. The song’s focus is worthiness, holiness, and the welcome extended to every singer in a throne-room scene that is still open.
