They cried You are Holy

You are holy Lord of all

Meaning & Inspiration
“Alpha and Omega / You Are Holy” joins two worship songs into one extended act of adoration. The first part is a short, repeated confession: “You are Alpha and Omega, we worship You our Lord, You are worthy to be praised.” It then adds “We give You all the glory,” so the focus stays on who God is and what He deserves.
The second part retells a scene from Isaiah 6. The singer says, “I saw the Lord seated on His throne,” clothed in glory, with the train of His robe filling the temple and the angels crying out that He is holy. The refrain “Oh so holy” and “You are holy Lord of all” keeps repeating that cry.
The title phrase echoes Revelation 22:13, where Christ calls Himself the Alpha and the Omega, and the throne scene is close to Isaiah 6:1-3 and Revelation 4:8. The song works as a sustained congregational response rather than a story.
