Lyrics
Verse 1
Lover of my soul
Lord of my life
Who in the world could compare to You
King of my heart
Friend in the fire
Who in the world could come close to You
Chorus
There is no one absolutely no one like You Jesus
There is nothing, absolutely nothing like Your presence
Verse 2
I’ve stood on the highest of mountains
Been offered glory and riches
But it’s always been Your presence for me
I’ve been to beautiful places
I’ve stood on so many stages
But it’s always been Your presence for me
Bridge
I love Your presence
More and more and more
More and more and more
I live to know You
More and more and more
So much more and more and more
Outro
You are satisfaction
You are all of my delight
You are my existence
You are all I seek to find

Meaning & Inspiration
“Your Presence” is a worship song that compares everything the singer has known with the presence of God. The opening lines use titles for Jesus, lover of the soul, Lord of life, King of the heart and friend in the fire, and each is followed by the question of who in the world could compare. The chorus answers that there is no one like Him and nothing like His presence.
The second verse is a list of achievements set aside. The singer has stood on the highest mountains, been offered glory and riches, been to beautiful places and stood on many stages, yet each time says it has always been God’s presence that mattered. The bridge turns to desire, to love His presence and to know Him more and more.
The final lines call Him satisfaction and delight. The thought is close to Psalm 16:11, Psalm 84:10 and Philippians 3:8, which speak of fullness of joy in His presence, a day in His courts, and the worth of knowing Christ. The song is a quiet declaration of what matters most.
