Edward Rivera + The McClures - Our God Reigns Lyrics

Our God Reigns is a declaration song built on a single repeated claim: God reigns, and His kingdom lasts forever. The verse and chorus are almost entirely the lines "Our God reigns" and "Forever Your kingdom reigns," with a brief "Oh, He reigns" added before a later chorus.

The bridge turns to praise, offering all glory and honor to the King. The theme matches Isaiah 52:7, where the messenger announces that God reigns, and Psalm 93:1 and Revelation 19:6, where His reign is celebrated. The phrase about a kingdom that lasts forever also recalls Psalm 145:13 and Daniel 4:3. Repetition is the main device here, which makes the song easy for a group to learn and sing with confidence, and the steady, proclamatory tone suits times when a congregation wants to affirm God's rule over circumstances.
