Shangwe Voices - Kidoe Lyrics
Lyrics
Kidoe eeh, kidoe
Mtenda miujiza yuko hapa leo
Amebeba majibu ya maswahli yangu
Napokea miujiza kwa imani Yangu
Ninamfurahia huyu yesu wangu
Mtenda miujiza yuko hapa leo
Amebeba majibu ya maswahli yangu
Napokea miujiza kwa imani Yangu
Ninamfurahia huyu yesu wangu
Napokea majibu (Napokea majibu)
Napokea majibu (Napokea majibu)
Napokea majibu (Napokea majibu)
Kutoka kwa Yesu (Napokea majibu)
Kwa imani Yangu (Napokea majibu)
Nacheza kidoe (Nacheza kidoe)
Nacheza kidoe (Nacheza kidoe)
Nacheza cheza kidoe
Iye iye kidoe na kidoe
Nacheza kigogo, nacheza kidogo
Yahweh Yahweh
Yelele yelele ma
Buye Buye Yahweh (Yahweh)
Nacheza kidoe (Nacheza kidoe)
Nacheza kidoe (Nacheza kidoe)
Nacheza cheza kidoe

Meaning & Inspiration
I’ve been playing this over a few times, and it’s one of those songs that just pulls you into a room of pure celebration. When they sing about the miracle worker being right there, it’s hard not to think about those moments in the Gospels where people just reached out for the hem of His garment, believing that He was the only one who could handle what they were carrying. It makes me think about Hebrews, how faith is just this solid assurance of what we’re hoping for. There’s something raw about the way they’re singing about grabbing hold of those answers through faith. It’s like they’re saying they’ve stopped waiting for change and started living like God has already moved.
But then, as I sit with it, I start wondering if I’m missing something. We always talk about "receiving my miracle" and "receiving my answer," and I know Scripture talks about asking and receiving, but sometimes I get nervous that we turn the focus more onto the miracle itself than the person doing the miracle. Like, the joy is so focused on the shift in our own circumstances. I guess I’m just wrestling with whether my own faith is that grounded. Is it really just about me grabbing what I need from Him, or is there more to the walk? It’s easy to dance when you’re sure the answer is coming, but what happens when the answer looks like silence? Still, there’s a genuine kind of awe in how they keep calling out the name Yahweh, grounding their dancing in the identity of the One who holds it all together. It makes me want to believe with that kind of certainty, even if I’m still trying to figure out how much of my own desire gets mixed up in what I’m asking for.
